Rachel Weisz Wants To Be A SuperHero…For All The Wrong Reasons

According to MontrosEpress Rachel Weisz wans to be superhero…because she saw Wonder Woman. Apparently the last 40 years of action heroines meant jack squat to Rachel becuase it was only after watching Patty Jenkins hit movie starring Gal Gadot that she wanted to get into the supehero game. After stating she was now open to doing “the big movies” She was asked if she’d like to be in a movie like Wonder Woman where she replied:

“Yeah, definitely. It was good to see that a movie with a female character at the center can make tons of money. We’re not some weird outlier group. We’re half the planet!”

I don’t know who said women were an outlier group but I’m definitely saying you Rachel, are weird. Statements like this confirm it:

“It’s the first time I’ve really enjoyed an action film because I could identify with the character.”

“She was a little brunette tomboy and then she became a superhero and I was like, ‘Yeah’.”

“I realized that’s why men like action movies. They think it’s them.”

Egads, someone should plant you on a psychiatrist couch, preferably Hannibal Lecters. When you say you find it really hard to identify with a man you might as well say you find it hard to identify with another human being. Which isn’t something I’d go around telling people, because frankly, it’s a little scary. I also hate to bust your bubble darlin, but gender is the only thing you and Wonder Woman have in common. Wonder Woman is a supernatural being willing to give her life for sentient beings who technically aren’t’ even the same species as she…while you clearly subscribe to identity politics and can’t properly enjoy a movie because the protagonist has a penis.

It’s not about the jewels love

“I realized that’s why men like action movies. They think it’s them.” There you have it, you have summed up men’s love of action in a nutshell. Or…wait, no, you are a moron.

Thinking that you are a superhero is largely the domain of a child; and to give you an idea of how silly it is to relegate such fantasies to the same gender…I used to like to pretend I was a tiger…or a werewolf..sometimes even a tree. But then, I have an amazing imagination…maybe that’s part of your problem Rachel, no imagination. But even as I grew up being a man did not prevent me from identifying with and enjoying the protagonists in:

    Buffy The Vampire Slayer

Being a man did not prevent me from identifying with and enjoying the protagonists in:

    Xena: Warrior Princess

Being a man did not prevent me from identifying with and enjoying the protagonists in:

The legend of Billy Jean (1985)

    Or:

La Femme Nikita (1990) or The Point of No Return (1993)

    Or:

    The Long Kiss Goodnight (1996)

    Or:

Kill Bill volumes 1(2003) and 2(2004)

I love movies, action or otherwise. If the movie is good I don’t care who or what the protagonist is because I have a brain Rachel. I identified with E.T. The Extraterrestrial (1982) Rachel, I identified with Gizmo from Gremlins (1984) Rachel, I identified with Number 5 from Short Circuit (1986) Rachel.

What were you doing when these movies were playing Rachel? Were you enjoying these tales as they were meant to be enjoyed, or were you desperately trying to figure out what kind of genitalia these characters harbored? If it’s the latter…doesn’t that make you sad, Rachel?

I know it makes me sad. 🙁
