We recently discussed the popularity of the Fullmetal Alchemist series and it’s upcoming release on Netflix. In a publicity push for the upcoming Feb 19th release, a new trailer for the film has been delivered to the public.

Toruk’s Take

They have thankfully added subtitles to the trailer explaining what’s going on. Looks like there’s a lot of comedy in the film, sort of the goofball kind of humor that is prominent in a lot of Japanese TV. I wonder if that’s how the Manga and anime are as well. The effects are fairly decent, that is, they get the job done. It looks like there may be a harder, more serious edge beneath the layer. if so, that could be the element that wins me over.

For now, I’m remain cautiously optimistic.

Fullmetal Alchemist starring Ryosuke Yamada, Tsubasa Honda and Dean Fujioka starts streaming on Netflix Monday.
