Amazon Producing a Time Travel Thriller

Amazon Studios will produce a new sci-fi thriller by Bill Marsilii and Terry Rossio, reports GeekTyrant. Titled Time Zone, the film is about a group of first responders equipped with a unique technology that allows them to manipulate time.

Screenwriter Terry Rossio has been working in Hollywood for decades. His second credited screenplay was for Disney’s Aladdin in 1992. Since then, he has worked on Pirates of the Caribbean movies, National Treasure: Book of Secrets, Shrek, Small Soldiers, and The Mask of Zorro. His most recent project has been this year’s Godzilla vs. Kong. As for Bill Marsilii, he worked alongside Rossio on Tony Scott’s 2006 thriller Deja Vu. That movie explores a similar idea to Time Zone, telling a story about an A.T.F. agent (played by Denzel Washington – Malcolm X) who joins a special investigation team using experimental time-traveling surveillance technology to detect a bomber.

John Davis will produce the film. He is yet another industry veteran whose big break came with John McTiernan’s 1987 sci-fi actioner Predator. Throughout his career, Davis produced movies like Behind Enemy Lines, Chronicle, Courage Under Fire, Dolemite Is My Name, Game Night, The Firm, and Predator sequels.
