Developed by Mark Hudis and Barry Sonnenfeld and based off of Lemony (Daniel Handler) Snicket’s long running series of children’s novels,  Netflix’s A Series of Unfortunate Events is back for a third season. The series follows three orphaned siblings Violet, Klaus, and Sunny Baudelaire as they seek to thwart the many attempts of their primary antagonist the dastardly Count Olaf, who seeks to rest from them their family fortune.

Toruk's Take

I couldn’t muster the energy to watch season two. I couldn’t do it. I remembered slogging through Season one like Atreju in the swamp of sadness and I just couldn’t do it. The repetitive Gargamelian storylines just made my brain go numb.

Perhaps I have to be in a certain state of mind to get into it…like comatose.

A Series of Unfortunate Events Season 3 starring Neil Patrick Harris, Patrick Warburton, Malina Weissman, Louis Hynes, and K. Todd Freeman streams on Netflix January 1st, 2018.
